At AFECC, we hold the understanding that we all play a role in protecting natural resources whist preserving the environment. This is why our team of volunteers do a regular litter pick-up in the surrounding area.
We work to address local litter problems the area has faced over the years, with businesses, community groups, and local schools getting involved to keep the environment clean and safe.
In partnership with Glasgow City Council, AFECC participates in the growing network of Community Hubs, where local individuals can book litter-picking equipment to keep their neighborhoods clean.
AFECC is also among some of the first to use the newly introduced QR Code via a mobile app, “My Glasgow” which allows individuals to report to the Glasgow City Council on a variety of environmental issues in the area, as well as being able to attach images to bring to the council’s attention.
