Quranic Studies and Arabic Classes at AFECC

Islamic education at AFECC is inspired by the teachings of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), who said, “Any group of people that assemble in one of the Houses of Allah to recite the Book of Allah, learning and teaching it, tranquillity will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will surround them and Allah will make mention of them to those (the angels) in His proximity.” [Muslim]

In addition,AFECC’s Islamic education programs currently teach a range of studies from Qaida, Quran, Islamic studies, Arabic language, and courses for our revert brothers and sisters. Our classes regularly take place on an evening and weekend schedule both on site and online.

Over the past 26+ years, AFECC’s religious education department has worked tirelessly to reach the position we are in now. We have established our own curriculum and syllabi tailored by qualified scholars to give our students the best possible grounding to set them on their way to seeking Islamic knowledge. Shaykh Sohaib Hussain, a graduate of Madinah University, oversees the Education department.

Moreover,we currently hold around 125 classes throughout the week, with over 500 students enrolled across all disciplines. Our Islamic learning courses continue to expand and grow year upon year. Many of our alumni have become teachers and others have progressed on to pursue further faith-based education.
